Hi all ,

Nice to see a dedicated forum on datawarehouse  Smiley

Can somebody let me know if there is any scope for tester to learn/work on Ab Initio .

hmmm..! I say "NO" as an ETL specialist.

Coz,  Sad For testing related tasks, though Testing exposure sounds fine, but not for the development.
And moreover switching technologies/platforms is something like "ride on two horses"

Pick your best option..! but donot isolate yourself from your own work around..   Huh

I find myself as an experienced manual tester and has no demand for the kind of work which iam carrying right now .. So as an alternative planning to learn some etl tool to settle down as an etl tester .So could you suggest me one Smiley

huh..! Smiley So if we have fixed your mind to change over.
Then please start with databases first. If you are strong enough in any of these (Oracle/SQL/MS-SQL/Teradata/DB2), then you can easily start with any ETL/reporting tool.

Every tool has very good market. First decide yourself whether to step into ETL or to go after Reporting.
