An Informatica Batch is nothing but the workflow which is a set of sessions defining the execution of them.
I hope this is what it mean?

Any one tell me what are all the different batches that are present in Informatica and when those type of batches are used generally?

Hi,

Before defining a Batch, we have to know What is a Session ?

Session - It is a set of instructions that tells/guides the Informatica PowerCenter server ; how and when to move data from sources to targets.

Batch - A Batch is which provides a way to group of sessions for their executions by Informatica Server.

There are two types of batches based on their execution.

Sequential Batch   -  By name, it tells that the sessions in the batch run one after the other.
Concurrent Batch  -  Set of sessions in the batch run at same time.

Hope this is all about the batches and their different types.
