Hi,

 I have around 5 years of experience in java and I have an opportunity to work in Ab initio ETL.Can some one
tell me about the scope and market of the same and also what are the other better tools available in the market, so that I can take a decision whether I should shift to this technology.Please help

@JKJ -

Ab-Initio is one of the ETL tool availble in the DWH Market. Coming to scope of this ETL tool is comparitively a bit less when compared to both Data Stage and Informatica. The reason behind it is the procurement cost of this tool is a bit high compared to the above.

And I dont need to say that each and every tool has its Own Pros and Cons.

On Reporting end, Hyperion is the exclusive tool (rare resources available in Market), beyond this Cognos and Business objects lead the reeporting world.
