Hi ,

I am using BO client ver 5.1.7 and it seems that I have several tnsnames.ora files in my computer and recently I have a server that changed it's IP addr

But I cannot tell exactly which tnsnames.ora that BO is referencing to, in the end I have to change each and every tnsnames.ora on my computer

Does anyone know where to find it out ?
I have checked the path in the CMD and changed the tnsnames.ora in the specified path but it does not seems to be using the one specifed in the PATH.

Please suggest.

Is it possible to have several Tnsnames.ra files in a single system.
I never came across this kind of problem.

According to my experience in database level, I think there will be only one Tnsnames.ora file for a database.
If my assumption is wrong, Please somebody share your answer.

Hi,

Let me know what type of error you are getting when you are trying to connect to BO.

Is it "ORA-12203" something like that or any other....

Is it possible to have several Tnsnames.ora files in a single system.

Raj
It is possible to have more than one Tnsnames.ora file on a single PC, when you have more than one database on it.
