Title: Using Data Warehouse
Post by: Akriti on August 11, 2016, 11:26:19 am

Brief description of my problem:

We want to gather, store and analyse data and using some reporting/charting tool to display the statistics. Collected data will gradually grow and over a period of time, it will lead to creation of a huge amount of data. When we are interested in viewing some statistics for that data (which will involve data aggregation) and at the same time expect the results to be fast enough even if the data is huge (historical data), we would not want aggregations to be happening at the time when we ask for any statistics (using the reporting/charting tool). We would want that the count is stored and those pre-calculated aggregations are used or minimal run-time analysis of the data takes place so that the results are not slowed down. We have choice between Elastic Search and Data Warehouse. So, any help regarding which one best suits our requirements and how can we achieve it in the most efficient way would be really appreciated.

I started using ( a few months ago and I am really happy with it. They offer several features and have some fancy data visualization options. I really liked it in the first place since you can register for free and use a basic pod which allows you to get to know the platform and later you can extend your usage and pay a reasonable price.
