6  ETL Tools / Informatica / Re: MS access as source for Informatica on: November 30, 2011, 02:20:48 pm
@Babu,

In general, the userid and password need to be provided by the source provider.

If the MS Access DB donot have any user authentication, then it will take the default userid and password.
Try out that option and let me know still you need any furhter info..  Smiley
7  ETL Tools / Informatica / Re: Scheduling information/report on: November 24, 2011, 03:41:39 pm
Hi.

In this case I'm looking for information on the workflows scheduled with Informatica scheduler.

The view REP_WORKFLOWS in repository db seems to be having some if not all the required data, I just cannot figure out how to transform that information into readable reports.

It is better to look into the below mentioned REP views in the Informatica Metadata and  join a few of these to get the information you are looking for.
  • REP_WORKFLOWS - This view contains information about individual workflows and workflow scheduling.
  • REP_ALL_TASKS - This view provides a list of all reusable and non-reusable tasks that can be used by a workflow or a worklet.
  • REP_WFLOW_VAR -  This view displays a list of all variables declared within a workflow or worklet.
  • REP_TASK_INST - This view displays all task instances within workflows and worklets.
  • REP_ALL_SCHEDULERS - This view displays a list of schedulers by folder.
  • REP_EVENT - This view displays the details of events created at the workflow or worklet level.
  • REP_WORKFLOW_DEP - This view shows how individual tasks and worklets are connected within a worklet or a workflow.
  • REP_TASK_INST_RUN - This view displays the run statistics and folder reference for tasks within a workflow or worklet.
  • REP_WFLOW_RUN - This view displays the run statistics for all workflows by folder

Hey Jukka,
Quote
list of workflows that are scheduled to be be run today or next 7 days
Are you looking for the repository table from where you get this information. If the workflows are scheduled thru informatica default scheduler, then you can avail this information thru Repo tables.

If the workflows are scheduled thru third party schedulers, then it is not possible to get this info.

Hey Forumites,

As the community grows It has been harder for me to keep up moderating the boards to make sure the threads end up in the proper forum category. (many new or selfish users drop their thread inappropriate forum.

1. More Moderators to help me manage this problem...you would be allowed to move and/or delete threads but you have to show you are mature enough to handle it. To apply, just send me a private message to me.

2. More Certified Users, will be given roles as Global Moderators, so that they helps keep clear who already has experience and who is speculating when giving advice. Also, to encourage users to get certified and keep the newbies in a right place at right time.

It's an easy way for us to say thank you for all of the help you guys have been over the years. If you are a Certified User, just e-mail me at .

Please only apply if you meet the guidelines. There are NO exceptions given.

There's a plenty of market not only in India and in abroad too..!

Begin with Data Warehousing and land up yourself on which tool you want to work on either ETL or reporting !!
13  ETL Tools / Installation & Configuration / Re: migrate informatica 7.x to AIX on: November 10, 2011, 04:01:26 pm
AR,

As a part of Business Continuty, first migrating the OS is best and monitor the loads for couple of weeks and then migrate the Informatica Powercenter from 7.1 to 8.6 is good.

Anyhow that can't be decided by you or me.  Embarrassed

Coming to your query, how about the database which you are using. It resides on Windows as of now ??
And where's is your repository database resides. It is on the same database ?
