Hi, I'm new to Informatica Powercenter and seeing some strang behaviour I would like to check.  We are running PWC against an active/passive Oracle database setup and it looks like PWC crashes when standby database is stopped.
On the PWC server both databases are in the TNS connect string and when I do a TNSping to the service name it can connect  only when the standby database is stopped PWC gives an connection error.
Restarting it results in an PCSF_46008 can not connect to the domain.
Since the primairy database is running and tns can find it it seems to me that PWC should never be able to see the standby database let along have problems when it's not there.
So I wonder if this is known behaviour and if so how to solve it (other then using a single connect string in tnsnames)
